Broomball
The sports are so similar that most hockey equipment and strategies can be used in broomball. Also like hockey, broomball is played on ice, with 5 players and a goalie trying to score against the opposing team. The first major difference between broomball and hockey is that instead of skates, broomball players are on their shoes, slipping and sliding all over the place. And instead of a stick and a puck, broomball players use a "broom" and a ball. The ball is about the size of a mini soccerball/mini basketball. And the sticks resemble a tiny broom, with a rubber triangle mounted to a stick. Des Moines Broomball
