The Des Moines Broomball Tournament will take place April 16th-18th. Please see the attachment for more information and for registration.

Well it's that time of year again. Soon the ice at Brenton Plaza will be frozen and waiting for broomball players to take the ice.

Fall Broomball will begin Aug. 24th and run until Sept. 28th. We will play on Monday nights at 8:30. This will be a draft style league and a great chance for new players to get involved. If you are interested, please email me at mandys4141@yahoo.com.

First I want to say a big thank you to the players who participated in the DM Tournament. We saw some awesome broomball played and you all made the tournament a success. So thanks!

There were many close games and we saw several overtimes through out nearly every division.

Results:

In Tier I it came down to new comers to the DM tourney 510 and defending champions Kelly Lake. It was a very close game throughout and at the end of the second half, was tied 3-3. During overtime play, there were many close calls but in the final seconds, 510 scored the winning goal.

Please see the attachement for the DM Tournament schedule. We are thrilled to have 22 teams compete in Des Moines this year. It's the biggest tournament we've hosted!

Shams Win! Shams Win! Both the Shams and EFCO Super Studs had the same record, but the Shams win the tie breaker of head to head competition.

All I can say is "ShamWow!"

The first KXNO Broomball Open will be held Feb. 19th. I really don't have any other details from them yet, but apparently they have already signed up several teams (probably due to the interview they did with Mike Bowers)!
